Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about importing with AngkatPH — sea freight, air freight, and RMB payments.
Sea Freight
How long is the lead time / ETA?
From the time your shipment arrives in our China warehouse, current lead time to our Manila warehouse is 25 to 35 days under normal conditions, including transport shipping and customs clearance in China and the Philippines. Factors beyond our control may affect shipping time; any adjustments will be communicated.
What is the import process? How do I start?
Step 1 – Send us a message on Facebook Messenger or Instagram.
Step 2 – Package details and booking confirmation.
Step 3 – Ask your supplier to ship to our China warehouse.
Step 4 – Wait for your packages to arrive in our Manila warehouse.
Step 5 – Billing and payment.
Step 6 – Claim your packages.
Is there a minimum cubic meter (CBM)?
No minimum — we have flat rates for small packages. For packages below 0.01 CBM we suggest our Air Freight Service for faster shipping.
Are the rates all-in? No hidden charges?
Yes. We provide all-in rates provided the details given are accurate. Changes may occur if the actual size or weight differs from the quoted one.
Where are your warehouses?
We have three warehouses across China — Yiwu, Shishi, and Guangzhou — plus consolidation points in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan. Our Philippine warehouses are in Malabon and Quezon City, Metro Manila.
How do I track my package?
Once received in our China warehouse, you can track your packages with the tracking code we provide, through your account at app.angkatph.com.
Can you deliver outside Metro Manila?
We provide free delivery for qualifying shipments within covered areas of Metro Manila. For deliveries outside Metro Manila, message our customer service for a quotation.
How should items be packed for sea freight?
Ask your supplier to use sturdy boxes, fragile stickers, and fillers — and where possible, crates or pallets for highly sensitive or fragile items. We are not liable for damage resulting from poor packaging and handling.
What items are prohibited?
- Ukay, bale, OEM, pre-loved items, replicas
- Live plants and animals
- Frozen goods
- Fake, counterfeit, or cloned brand items
- Real gold and luxury items
- Copyrighted / patented items and intellectual property
- Raw agricultural items (e.g. garlic)
- Certain chemicals, flammables, and corrosives
- Illegal substances
- Guns and gun parts
Prohibited items will not be accepted by our China warehouses.
What is the maximum weight per CBM?
Our weight limit is 500 kg per CBM. Above that, an overweight charge of ₱25 per excess kilogram applies.
What is a Client Code?
When you avail of our freight service we assign you a unique client code that serves as your shipping label for all shipments. Ask your supplier to put it on all boxes — our warehouse cannot accept packages without one. Example (sea): AKPH-ABC. Example (air): AIR AKPH-ABC 0917123456.
What happens if my goods are damaged or lost?
Our team first conducts an investigation. If the damage happened under our care, we compensate the client with the total invoice amount of the damaged or lost item. We are not liable for damage resulting from poor packaging; items should be packed for sea freight accordingly.
Air Freight
How long is the lead time / ETA?
Current lead time is 5–7 days from our China warehouse to our Manila warehouse. Factors beyond our control may affect shipping time; adjustments will be communicated.
Is there a minimum weight?
Minimum is 1 kilogram.
How is the air freight rate computed?
Rates are computed per kilogram: rate (depending on item) × total kg = total air freight shipping cost.
RMB Payment Service
What are the fees involved?
No extra or hidden fees. We base the conversion on our current RMB–PHP exchange rate at the time of request.
What is the process?
Message us on Facebook Messenger or Instagram with the total RMB amount and the receiving RMB bank account (bank name, branch, account name, account number). We send you a quote — rates vary daily. Upon agreement, transfer PHP to our accounts and send the deposit slip for verification. We remit the RMB within 1–3 banking days and provide the RMB deposit slip as proof.
Why use your RMB payment service?
You can save up to 10% by paying suppliers in local currency (RMB), with no wire transfer fees and no hidden charges. We remit directly to your supplier's RMB account.
