How volume and weight interact

Sea freight is billed on the space your cartons occupy, unless the shipment is unusually dense — then it is billed by weight instead, whichever is greater. Our weight allowance per CBM is generous compared with the market, and the per-kilo rate beyond it drops as total weight rises (roughly ₱20–25/kg on Commodity 1, depending on tier).

Not sure which commodity class or tier you fall into? Put your carton dimensions into the shipment calculator — it applies this exact matrix, including the tier break and the weight rule. Full worked method in what is CBM.

Rates are indicative and confirmed by your account manager once cargo is measured at our warehouse. Where actual dimensions or weight differ from what was declared, billing follows the measured figure — which is why we measure and photograph everything on arrival.

Compare before you book

Quotes are only comparable when you know the per-CBM rate, the weight allowance, and what the “all-in” actually covers. A low headline rate with a tight weight allowance is the oldest trick in this industry. Ask any forwarder those three questions — ours are on this page. More on that in our legit-check guide.
