Shipping from Pinduoduo to the Philippines

Pinduoduo gets your order as far as a warehouse in China. Everything after that is shipping: consolidating your parcels, choosing air or sea, clearing Philippine customs, and delivery. Here's how each stage works, how long it takes, and what decides the cost.

The route, stage by stage

Realistic totals from order to delivery: about two weeks by air and four to five weeks by sea, depending on how fast sellers dispatch and how long you let orders accumulate.
Stage 1 and 2: getting to our China warehouse
Angkat operates warehouses in Yiwu, Shishi and Guangzhou. Your Angkat Express account shows the address to use. Pinduoduo sellers ship to it like any domestic order, usually free or for a small fee inside China.
Every parcel must show your client code. That's how the warehouse matches the box to your account. Parcels without a code can't be matched and end up waiting. As each parcel arrives, it appears in your account so you can see what has landed.
Stage 3: consolidation, where the money is saved
Pinduoduo orders tend to be many small parcels from different sellers. Shipping each one separately is expensive. Letting them build up under your code and shipping them together as one consignment is much cheaper per item.
A good habit: place all your Pinduoduo orders within a few days of each other, wait until your account shows everything has arrived, then ship once.

For most personal Pinduoduo orders, air is the simpler choice because the parcels are small. Sea makes sense once you're shipping cartons of goods, usually for resale. Our sea vs air freight guide goes deeper.
How the cost is worked out
Air freight is billed per kilogram, with separate rates for ordinary goods, sensitive goods (liquids, powders, food, power banks) and gadgets (laptops, tablets, phones). Sea freight is billed on the space your cartons take up, per CBM, with a weight allowance per CBM. Very dense shipments are billed by weight instead. What is CBM explains this with worked examples.

Watch out for light, bulky items. Pillows, large plastic storage and foam products take up a lot of space for their weight. A cheap Pinduoduo item can cost more to ship than to buy. Check before ordering.
Customs and the ₱10,000 de minimis rule
Under the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, a consignment worth ₱10,000 or less (FOB) generally enters free of duty and VAT. Two things people often get wrong:
- It's per consignment, not per item. Consolidating many orders raises the value of the shipment.
- It's a tax exemption, not a clearance exemption. Prohibited and regulated goods are still prohibited or regulated below ₱10,000.

What won't clear customs
- Counterfeit branded goods. Common on Pinduoduo, and seizable.
- Regulated goods without permits. Food, supplements, cosmetics and medical items (FDA); wireless and telecom devices (NTC), including the 2G/3G device ban.
- Prohibited items such as weapons, drugs and certain chemicals. Full list in prohibited items when importing from China.

Frequently asked questions
How long does shipping from Pinduoduo to the Philippines take?
About 5 to 7 days by air or 15 to 25 days by sea from our China warehouse, plus a few days for the seller to deliver to the warehouse. Allow roughly two weeks door to door by air and four to five weeks by sea.
How much does it cost to ship from Pinduoduo to the Philippines?

Do I pay customs duties on Pinduoduo orders?

Can I combine orders from different Pinduoduo sellers?
Yes. All parcels with your client code are held at the warehouse and shipped together as one consignment, which is usually much cheaper than shipping each separately.
Should I choose air or sea for Pinduoduo orders?
Air suits small, light or urgent orders and most personal shopping. Sea suits larger volumes, heavier goods and reseller stock.
