How to Buy from Pinduoduo in the Philippines

Pinduoduo is in Chinese, built for Chinese phones and payment apps, and delivers only inside China. None of that stops Filipino buyers. This guide walks through every step of buying from Pinduoduo from the Philippines, from signing in to the moment your parcel reaches our China warehouse.

What you need before you start

The Pinduoduo app (拼多多) on your phone
A way to sign in: a phone number that can receive the SMS code, or a WeChat account
A way to pay: WeChat Pay or Alipay, with a card linked
A free Angkat Express account for your client code and China warehouse address
Google Lens or another camera translator

Step 1: Download the right app

Search for 拼多多 in the App Store or Google Play. The icon is red with a white shopping symbol. Don't confuse it with Temu, the English-language international app from the same company. Temu has different prices and a smaller catalogue.

Step 2: Sign in

Pinduoduo's sign-in is designed for Chinese phone numbers, but it also offers sign-in through WeChat. Many Filipino buyers find WeChat the easiest route: create a WeChat account with your Philippine number first, then choose the WeChat option in Pinduoduo. What works changes from time to time, so if one method fails, try the other.

Step 3: Set up payment

Pinduoduo takes WeChat Pay and Alipay. Both now let many foreign users link an international Visa or Mastercard, which is how most Filipino buyers pay. Some cards get declined, and some banks block the transaction until you approve it in your banking app.

Payment not going through? Try another card, check that your bank allows international online transactions, and approve any verification prompt. If you're still stuck, message us before giving up on the order.

Step 4: Find products without reading Chinese

Search by photo. Tap the camera icon in the search bar and upload a photo or screenshot of what you want. This is the fastest way to find an item you saw on Shopee, TikTok or Facebook.
Search in Chinese. Translate your search term into Chinese first and paste it in. Chinese searches return far more results than English ones. For example, “phone case” is 手机壳.
Translate the page. Point Google Lens at listings, reviews and chat messages to read them.

Step 5: Read the listing properly

A Pinduoduo listing packs a lot into a small screen. Check these before you buy:

Two buttons, two prices. 单独购买 means buy alone at the higher price. 发起拼单 means start or join a group order at the lower price. Joining an existing group usually completes instantly.
The variant (规格). Size, colour and model are chosen here. The lowest headline price is often for the smallest or most basic variant.
Dispatch time. The listing shows how soon the seller ships. Faster dispatch means your parcel reaches the warehouse sooner.
Return shipping cover (退货包运费). If shown, returns inside China are covered.

Step 6: Check the seller before paying

Seller quality on Pinduoduo varies more than on Taobao. Spend a minute on these checks:

Sales volume. Thousands of sales is a good sign. A new listing with no sales is a gamble.
Reviews with buyer photos. Filter reviews to those with pictures (有图) and compare them with the listing photos.
Store rating and badges. Official brand stores (官方旗舰店) are the safest for branded goods.
The Billion Subsidy section (百亿补贴). For branded products, buy here or from official stores only.

If the price is too good for a branded item, it's fake. Counterfeits won't clear Philippine customs and can be seized. Stick to unbranded goods or official stores.

Step 7: Enter your Angkat warehouse address

This is the step that matters most. Log in to Angkat Express and copy the China warehouse address and contact number shown in your account. In Pinduoduo, add a new delivery address:

Recipient name: include your client code, exactly as shown in your account.
Phone: the warehouse contact number from your account. Pinduoduo only accepts an 11-digit Chinese mobile number here.
Region: choose the province, city and district that match the warehouse address.
Detailed address: the street address from your account, with your client code added at the end.

Putting the client code in both the name and the detailed address makes sure it appears on the seller's shipping label. A parcel without a code can't be matched to you, and it's the most common reason goods sit at a warehouse.

Step 8: Track the domestic delivery

After payment, the order shows its Chinese courier tracking under your orders. Most parcels reach the warehouse within a few days. Don't tap “confirm receipt” (确认收货) until your Angkat account shows the parcel has arrived. Confirming early can make it harder to raise a problem with the seller.

Returns and wrong items

Returns are only realistic while the item is still in China. Check your Angkat account as parcels arrive. If something is clearly wrong, raise it with the seller right away, before your shipment leaves for the Philippines.

Common mistakes

Ordering one item at a time and shipping each separately. Let orders build up at the warehouse and ship them together.
Missing client code. The number one cause of delays.
Buying branded goods from random stores. They're likely fake and may be seized.
Buying regulated products to resell without checking FDA or NTC rules first.
Choosing the wrong variant because the headline price was for a different one.
