Pinduoduo Refund Guide for Filipino Buyers
· AngkatPH
Read in: English · Taglish
Pinduoduo orders through Angkat travel one way: from the seller, to our China warehouse, to your door in the Philippines. Refunds are settled between you and the seller in the Pinduoduo app, and the time to do it is while your parcel is still in China. This guide covers what you can claim, when, and how to avoid problems in the first place.

How ordering through a forwarder protects your parcels
Pinduoduo sellers only deliver inside China, so your order needs a reliable address there. Using a forwarder like Angkat means every parcel is accounted for from the moment it arrives:
- Your client code matches every parcel to you. Parcels without it are refused, so nothing lands in a pile of unclaimed boxes.
- Every parcel is received, measured and photographed at our warehouse in Yiwu, Shishi or Guangzhou, and shows in your account the same day.
- Your orders are consolidated into one shipment, declared for export, and cleared through Philippine customs by us.
- Tracking runs from our warehouse to your door, with pickup in Malabon or Quezon City, or free delivery in covered Metro Manila areas.
Those receiving records are also what make a refund claim work, as you'll see below.
The short version
| Where your order is | What you can usually do |
|---|---|
| Not yet shipped by the seller | Cancel and get a refund. Usually fast. |
| On its way to our China warehouse | Request a refund if it's late, lost or refused. Don't confirm receipt. |
| Received at our warehouse | Check the receiving photos in your account and raise any problem with the seller now, before your shipment leaves China. |
The deadline most Filipino buyers miss
On Pinduoduo, the clock for most after-sales options starts when the parcel is signed for. For you, that's when our China warehouse receives it, not when it reaches your door in the Philippines. Windows such as 7-day no-reason returns (7天无理由退货) run from that moment, so they can close while your parcels are still waiting to be consolidated.
That's why the best time to deal with a problem is before your shipment leaves China. Watch your Angkat Express account. We receive, measure and photograph every parcel, and it appears in your account the day it lands. Check the receiving photos and parcel count against what you ordered, and raise anything that looks wrong with the seller straight away. Those photos are also useful evidence in a claim.
1. Cancelling before the seller ships
If the seller hasn't dispatched yet, open the order and request a refund. For unshipped orders this is usually approved quickly, and the money goes back to the payment method you used. This is the cleanest way out if you ordered the wrong variant or found a better price.
2. The parcel never reaches our warehouse
If Pinduoduo says the parcel was delivered but it doesn't appear in your Angkat account:
- Check the courier tracking in the order. Note the delivery date and any signature details.
- Message us with the tracking number so we can check our receiving records.
- Do not tap “confirm receipt” (确认收货). Confirming tells the platform you received it and weakens your claim.
- If it really didn't arrive, open an after-sales request for a missing item and attach the tracking details.
No client code, no delivery. Our warehouse does not accept parcels without your client code. They are refused and go back to the seller. If that happens, wait for the tracking to show the parcel returned to the seller, then request a refund. Avoid it entirely by checking that your client code is in both the recipient name and the address before you pay.
3. Wrong, damaged or missing items
Pinduoduo has two main after-sales routes:
- Refund only (仅退款): you ask for your money back without sending the item back. This is the route for Angkat customers. Sellers often agree for wrong or damaged items, especially cheap ones, when the evidence is clear.
- Return and refund (退货退款): the item goes back to the seller. Angkat ships Pinduoduo orders one way, from China to the Philippines, and doesn't handle returns to sellers, so this isn't an option through us.
Sellers can also offer a partial refund (部分退款), for example when one piece in a set is broken. If you can't agree, you can ask the platform to step in (平台介入). Pinduoduo tightened its refund-only rules in 2024, so approval is not automatic. Strong evidence makes the difference.
How to make a claim that gets approved
- Use the receiving photos from your Angkat account. They show what arrived at the warehouse and when.
- Compare against the listing. Point out the wrong colour, size, quantity or missing pieces as specifically as you can.
- Screenshot the listing and variant you bought before you order. Sellers sometimes change listings later.
- Keep everything in the Pinduoduo chat. Agreements made in the app count; agreements made elsewhere don't.
- Be specific and polite. State what's wrong and what you want: a full refund or a partial amount.
Auto-confirm: the other clock
If you don't confirm receipt yourself, Pinduoduo automatically confirms the order after a set period, after which the payment is released to the seller. While your parcel is still at the warehouse or in transit, you can usually extend the receiving period (延长收货) from the order page. Do this if a problem is still being sorted out.
Where the refund goes, and how long it takes
Refunds go back to the original payment method: WeChat Pay, Alipay, or the card linked to them. Wallet refunds are often quick; card refunds can take several banking days. Because of exchange rates and bank fees, the peso amount that comes back may differ slightly from what you paid.
How to avoid needing a refund at all
- Buy from sellers with thousands of sales and photo reviews (有图), and official stores for anything branded.
- Prefer listings with return shipping cover (退货包运费), which usually signals a seller that handles after-sales well.
- Test before you scale. Order one or two units first, especially for resale stock.
- Use air for first orders from a new seller, so problems surface within days, not weeks.
- Avoid fragile, sized or fitted items unless the seller's size chart and reviews are clear.
Frequently asked questions
Does Angkat handle returns for Pinduoduo orders?
No. Angkat ships Pinduoduo orders one way, from China to the Philippines, and doesn't handle returns to sellers. Refunds are settled between you and the seller in the Pinduoduo app, ideally while your parcel is still at our China warehouse.
When does the Pinduoduo return window start for overseas buyers?
For most items it starts when the parcel is signed for, which is when the China warehouse receives it. Check parcels as they arrive at the warehouse and raise problems before your shipment leaves China.
What happens if I forget my client code on a Pinduoduo order?
The Angkat warehouse does not accept parcels without a client code. The parcel is refused and goes back to the seller. Once tracking shows it returned to the seller, you can request a refund on Pinduoduo.
How do I get a refund if Pinduoduo sent the wrong item?
Open an after-sales request on the order, choose refund only, and attach the warehouse receiving photos and a screenshot of the listing. If the seller refuses, ask the platform to step in.
How long do Pinduoduo refunds take?
Refunds to WeChat Pay or Alipay balances are often quick. Refunds to a linked card can take several banking days, and the peso amount may differ slightly because of exchange rates.
Should I confirm receipt when my Pinduoduo parcel reaches the warehouse?
Only once your Angkat account shows the parcel arrived and it looks right. Confirming early weakens a missing-item claim. If a problem is still open, extend the receiving period instead.
