Does Coupang Ship to the Philippines?

Not directly. Coupang is built for shoppers with a Korean address, and nearly every seller on it ships only within Korea. The workaround is the same one Filipino importers use for Taobao: have the order delivered to a warehouse in Korea, then ship it home.

Why Coupang doesn't work like Shopee or Lazada

Coupang is Korea's dominant online marketplace, and its speed (Rocket delivery, often next-day) is the reason Koreans use it. That speed depends on a delivery network inside Korea. Outside it, three things get in the way:

• Delivery addresses. Most listings deliver only to Korean addresses. A few sellers offer international shipping, but the range is a small fraction of the catalogue and the shipping fees are high.
• Checkout. Checkout is in Korean and often expects a Korean phone number. Foreign cards may be declined at the payment gateway. Some shoppers get through with an overseas Visa or Mastercard; many don't.
• Rocket delivery is domestic. The feature people want Coupang for stops at the border.

None of this means you can't buy from Coupang. It means the order has to land in Korea first.

The workaround: a Korea warehouse address

When you open an Angkat Express account, you get a client code and a Korea warehouse address. You enter that address as the delivery address on Coupang, and the seller delivers to us within Korea like any domestic order. We receive it under your code, hold it while your other orders arrive, and ship everything to Manila together.

We run three options out of Korea:

• Seoul · Incheon, air. For urgent or high-value restocks.
• Seoul · Guri, sea. The economical option for bulk and heavier goods.
• Seoul · Incheon, small package. For small consignments that don't justify a full sea booking, such as testing a product or restocking a single SKU.

Step by step

1. Get your client code and Korea address

Create a free account at app.angkatph.com. Your client code is your shipping label. Every parcel needs it, or the warehouse can't match it to you.

2. Put the code in the address, not only the name field

Coupang's address form has limited space and sellers print labels automatically. Put your client code where it will actually appear on the label, usually the recipient-name line or the detailed address line. If you are unsure, message us before you order.

3. Pay

This is the step that trips people up. If your card is declined, try another card first. Some buyers use a Korean proxy-buying service just for the payment step. If you get stuck, message us before giving up on the order.

4. Let orders accumulate

Coupang is fast inside Korea, so parcels arrive at the warehouse quickly. Ordering from several sellers and letting them build up under your code before shipping is where you save money. Ten small parcels shipped one at a time cost far more than the same ten shipped together.

5. Choose sea, small package or air

Once everything has arrived, choose how it travels. Sea is priced per cubic metre, from ₱22,000 per CBM under 5 CBM down to ₱20,500 at 20+ CBM. Air is priced per kilo, from ₱850/kg at the lowest weight tier down to ₱775/kg. Both are all-in: customs duties and taxes, port fees at both ends, freight and warehouse handling are included. What Filipinos actually buy on Coupang

The categories that make sense are the ones where Korea is genuinely the source:

• K-beauty and skincare. The biggest by far. Buying from a Korean marketplace is also your best answer to the counterfeit problem in the local market.
• Korean food and snacks. Ramyeon, sauces, snacks and drinks.
• Fashion and accessories that are hard to find locally.
• Small home goods and kitchenware.

Heavy, cheap, bulky items rarely make sense from Korea. Freight is priced for space and weight, and a ₱300 item that takes up a lot of room will cost more to ship than it's worth. That's usually a China product.

Also check the prohibited items list. Counterfeit and replica goods won't clear customs whichever country they come from.

Coupang vs Gmarket vs buying direct

Coupang isn't the only option. Gmarket and 11st have more small-seller variety, and some sellers there are more used to foreign buyers. Once you know your volumes, buying direct from a brand or distributor gets better pricing, plus authenticity documents you can show your own customers. A realistic first order

1. Create your account and get your client code and Korea address.
2. Pick three to five products you are confident you can sell, not thirty.
3. Confirm the FDA position on anything regulated.
4. Order on Coupang to the warehouse address, with your code on the label.
5. Ship the first batch by small package or air, sell it, and learn your real margins.
6. Move the winners to sea freight.
